Sumit Kumar: On ternary divisor problem and its analogues

Abstract:

In this talk, we study the Bilinear sum \sum_{n, m} a(n) e(f(mn)),
where a(n) are the Fourier coefficients of a Maass/holomorphic form
for SL(2, Z) and f is a smooth function. As an application, we give
non-trivial bounds for \sum_{n <X} d_3(n) and \sum_{n <X} a(n).
