Description
We are offering postdoctoral positions in group theory, probability theory, and limits of discrete structures, to work in the research groups of Miklós Abért and Gábor Pete at the Rényi Institute.
The research will be carried out within the scope of the newly established Simons Collaboration on Discrete Subgroups of Lie Groups (https://www.simonsfoundation.org/2026/08/04/new-simons-collaboration-will-explore-discrete-subgroups-of-lie-groups).
The positions will start in September 2027 and will be between one and three years in duration. Applicants interested in spending further time with another PI of the Collaboration are encouraged to also contact them.
