Magyar Akos: Geometric Ramsey theory on lattice points

Geometric Ramsey theory studies the existence of geometric patterns,
determined up to translations, rotations and dilations, in sets of positive upper density.
We outline a new approach to these type of problems, motivated by developments in
additive combinatorics, and discuss some recent results in the discrete setting.
