Satadal Ganguly: Counting lattice points on determinant surfaces

We will consider the problem of counting integral points on surfaces of the type $xy-zw=1$ where the coordinates are bounded by a parameter X. Using the Kloostermanian approach, we will show how to
obtain an asymptotic formula with a strong error term.  This can be considered as an $L^{\infty}$ analogue of Selberg's famous result on counting elements of the modular group inside the sphere $|x|^2+|y|^2+|z|^2+|w|^2 <X$.
